Access and scope

ChatGPT account access and the OpenAI API are separate services. An API-based workflow requires OpenAI API credentials and may incur separate usage charges; a ChatGPT subscription does not include API usage. Connecting an API does not automatically grant access to your ChatGPT conversation history. Only share information you are authorized to use.
